5 Professional Sports Organizations That Provide Resources For Kids

Let’s face it. Finding fun physical activities for your children can be time consuming. But there are resources out there that can help! Many professional sporting organizations have programs that can help you find fun activities for your children. The NBA, NFL, MLB, MLS, and the PGA all offer youth sporting programs that can get your child active! Here are some of the programs these professional sports organizations offer for kids.


Jr. NBA



Jr. NBA leagues are a great choice to get your child active. I have fond memories of playing in my local Jr. Jazz league growing up. It was a great experience to build teamwork and get some good old physical activity in. If your child loves basketball or wants to try it out, many NBA teams sponsor their own Jr. basketball programs for kids. The programs are run all across the country and can be found by contacting your cities rec leagues or checking your local NBA teams’ websites. Little League and RBI



Baseball is a classic all American sport. It’s a perfect sport to get cardio in and build teamwork skills. Many local communities offer little league baseball programs that can get your kid into the timeless sport. NFL Play Football



Football is a great way for kids to get outside and get some good physical activity in. There are even flag football leagues where parents don’t have to worry about their kids getting concussions. MLS Youth Development Leagues



Soccer is starting to grow at a massive rate across the United States. Soccer is a great source of exercise and provides a strong cardio workout. PGA Jr. League



Golf is a fantastic sport that can build a bunch of character and can get your child some much needed Vitamin D. The PGA offers a Jr. League to help teach your child all the ins and outs of golf.
